LG Chem's major PVC production includes straight resin, paste resin and specialty PVC resin which are widely used in pipes, soft and rigid sheets, sashes, and floorings. Having absorbed Hyundai Petrochemical Co. Ltd.'s PVC operations and expanding its Chinese production facility, LG Chem is now Korea's largest PVC manufacturer with an annual production capacity of 1.1 million metric tons as it steps into the position as the world's sixth largest manufacturer.
PVC is primarily classified into straight, paste and special PVC. And the paste resin among them has fluidity, low viscosity, thermal stability, foaming property and gelling property demanded for processing. |

We have developed and produced innoxious PVC resins for food packing materials and bottles independently for the first time in Korea, and have won PL(Positive List) standard from the Foods Hygiene Association of Japan, the world first class certification institute. The paste resin manufactured with MSP methods (Microsuspension Seeded Polymerization) is one of resins excellent in fluidity, low viscosity, thermal stability, foaming property and gelling property for production of Plastisol. |
